The company BRIO was established in Sweden in 1884. The founders were brothers Ivarsson - residents of the resort town Osby in Sweden. The brothers Emil, Viktor, Anton inherited from their father Ivar Bentson the company for the production of wooden toys and named it BRIO, which means "brothers Ivarson from Osby".
