Hugo Boss

The company was founded by Hugo Boss in 1923. At first he produced only working clothes - overalls, waterproof clothes and raincoats, and later - different uniforms. Eugene Holy, son-in-law of the founder, joined the company in 16 years, and in 1948 the children of Hugo Boss transformed it into a closed joint-stock company with limited liability. Grandchildren Boss - Uwe and Jochen Holy - came to the company in the early seventies and became its only managing directors. The company began to produce the suits for men, which glorified the brand. The first products were exported to the countries of Europe and the USA. The company expanded its activities and sponsored Porsche in sports competitions of car racing. In 1984, the range of products expanded, and included products such as men's shirts with short sleeves and cotton t-shirts, licenses were obtained for the production of knitwear and cosmetics. The company entered the international arena as a sponsor of Formula One motor racing, as well as tennis and golf competitions.
