Elie Saab
A fashion brand specializing in Haute Couture and Pret-a-Porter clothing collections. It was founded by Lebanese designer Elie Saab in 1982. The head office and main workshops of the company are located in Beirut, Lebanon. Also there are workshops in Paris and Milan.
Elie Saab was born in 1964 in Beirut in a family far from the fashion world. It seemed that nothing was foreshadowing such an amazing fate, amazing talent, unshakable will. He was not even nine years old when he created his first dress for his younger sister. The rumor about his talent was quickly spread: neighbors, people from town, soon fashionistas from all around knocked on the door of a young self-taught. Already at the age of 18, Elie Saab opened his own fashion house with more than a dozen tailors. Often he received an order of 20, 30, and even 60 dresses for a single ceremony. His determination overcame all obstacles, including those that were associated with an unstable political environment. His first defile in Beirut he organized at his own expense, for the city it was just a magical gift.
A gifted young man was among the first to win the Middle East market and his rich clients who became devoted fans of his work. He presented his Haute Couture collection in Paris in 2000. In 2006 he was elected as an honorary member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture along with Valentino and Armani. Thanks to it, Lebanon gained world fame. As a personal designer of royal families, Elie Saab also accompanies them on the most prestigious red carpets. The glory of his fashion house shines from Beirut to Los Angeles through the golden triangle of Paris, where in 2007 he founded his boutique on the Champs Elysées. The designer has an innate sense of cut. He adjusts his work directly on the female figure, creating a drape on the body, without sketches and patterns.
